About + Pets

Hi, I'm Jordan Finch, a writer and software engineer based out of the midwest in the United States. I have an MFA in Fiction from UMKC, but given the challenges of the working professionally in the field, after I had that degree, I completed an advanced software engineering immersive program. Since then I've been working full time as a front end software engineer (a fancy way of saying I build web applications), working in a variety of industries including e-commerce, financial institutions, construction companies, and even a couple startups.

Currently, I'm working on a fiction project - a journey I'll document with as much honesty as I can muster. That means showing when what I'm doing isn't working, highlighting my inspirations, and celebrating my progress every step along the way.

The Pets

I currently live with my partner and a squadron of pets.

The pets include Juno the Sheepadoodle. Don't be fooled by her cuteness. She's in the puppy terror phase.

Next we have Luna the Chorkie. Which I get now that I've typed sounds repulsive. Chorkie - when you think you need to cough but it might be a sneaky vomit.

The final two are tabby cat siblings, Appa and Percy. Percy earned his name because he pulses with snooty energy and he'll let you know when he's got something to say which is often. Appa takes his name from the flying bison in Avatar the Last Airbender. He's skews sweeter than his brother.

None of the other pets like Juno.
